AirServer and AirDrop

AirServer

AirServer wirelessly mirrors your Apple device’s display to a PC or MAC that is connected to your IWB or Smart TV i.e. CommBox. At our school AirServer is installed on all classroom PCs and students use iPads to project their work to the screen using the Airplay option.

We decided to use AirServer to replace the iPad dongles which we used when we first bought our iPads.

The difference between the 2 is obviously pricing and with the dongles you are required to stay near the PC due to the length of the cord, whereas with AirServer you can move around.

Airdrop

AirDrop on iPads is used for sharing files between iPads, for this to happen WiFi needs to be turned on.
