In the app Green Screen by Do Ink there are three layers that you can use.

Layer 1- Usually for a basic photo or video, the background is placed in this layer.

Layer 2- The video will go into. Students can either record their video using the iPad’s camera and then transfer it to the app or record it straight from the app.

Layer 3- is optional. When you add a video or image to this layer it will cover the other images/videos. You will need to use your fingers and pinch the image to make it smaller.

I particularly like this idea if you’re getting students to record a news broadcast, where they can report on their new learning.

Ideas for news broadcast:

• natural disasters
• world news
• countries
• geography unit

Pretty much anything, be creative!
