Finally, a reason to like Pokemon Go again! Lately I’ve been finding better Pokemon and thanks to the buddy candy system I’m evolving more and more.
The Halloween special helped heaps, 3 km candies dropped to 0.75 km and the 5 km candies dropped to 1.25 km. During that time I was able to evolve a lot of new Pokemon like Charizard, Alakazam, Machamp, Weezing and Kabutops. I also found Lickitung and hatched an Aerodactyl during the Halloween period.
Pokemon is a great conversation point with my students, we usually spend mornings talking about the Pokemon we have caught or want to catch. I very much enjoy talking to my students about something besides learning and it shows them a different side of me.
Can I suggest that even if you don’t play Pokemon Go, take the time and speak to your students about their experiences with Pokemon Go. Once they start, it’s hard to stop them. I love their reactions!
